As a Finance Director my role involves management of the overall Finance department. This involves overseeing the central reporting team, contract-based finance teams and the accounts receivable and payable functions. We ensure that the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.

In my role I am passionate about working with various stakeholders, providing strategic and financial guidance that helps the business make key decisions for long-term growth and sustainability.

I am a qualified accountant with over 17 years’ experience in various industries and take pride in helping achieve the company’s financial commitments ethically and with integrity.

As Commercial Director I am responsible for all the disciplines within the Commercial and Procurement functions. We deal with legal contracts and  professional procurement, leading to successful financial delivery.

I like to operate across the full range of our operations as I believe operational knowledge and understanding are essential to commercial success. To do this I need to ensure we work collaboratively with all our stakeholders to deliver on our goals.

My role is to provide governance and stability in our everyday work, to ensure we have a solid foundation from which we can build an agile and progressive collaborative commercial model. 

Using my 33 years of industry experience, I am passionate about making improvements every day so we can maximise our added value. We do this by simplifying and improving processes and customising the way we work to benefit our people, our business, our neighbours and our clients.

I have 15 years’ experience leading and delivering integrated highways services arrangements. I am also fully committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and teams while delivering high quality, cost-effective and sustainable services on behalf of our clients.

I believe in delivering on our commitments – to do what we say we’re going to do. This approach will enable us to build on our successes to date and maximise the opportunities that being part of Milestone Infrastructure presents as we grow and evolve our current portfolio of work, across markets and sectors.

I joined the Milestone Infrastructure Senior Leadership team in August 2019 as Operations Director having been with Skanska for more than five years. I have more than 30 years operational experience in highways having held senior roles in both public and private sector client and delivery roles.

My focus is to support the priorities of our clients to maintain their highways assets through safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of our key services.

I am passionate about increasing the effective use of data to inform and shape our delivery for existing and potential clients.

Milestone Infrastructure promotes Innovation across our contracts with teams actively encouraged to challenge the ways in which we work by proposing new opportunities and ways of working that support our delivery for our clients.

The motivation for me remains the same now as when I first started the role as Operations Director over four years ago.

I am passionate about creating opportunities for people to develop, to grow and to make the absolute best of their ability. Being able to influence this by creating a dynamic, forward-thinking and successful business for our people to be part of is fantastic.

I am excited about what the future holds for us. Growing the business by aligning our already successful business model with the ability to look beyond our current boundaries, both geographically and strategically will enable us to create these opportunities for our people to flourish.

I delight in finding ways to make the business more efficient, operating creatively where strategy and technology intersect. I am focused on simplifying and streamlining our operations to ensure that our business is efficient. We deliver swiftly and safely so our customers receive a consistently high quality of service.

From my background in engineering design combined with a career, much of it spent overseas, I have a very broad skillset and experience in providing services and helping people to achieve more and turning around performance. I bring an independent and unique perspective to the Leadership Team.

Nothing brings me more satisfaction than working with our teams and enabling them to transform the way they operate. The opportunity to improve performance exists throughout our business and my guiding motivation is to help unlock it.
