Congratulations to Milestone Infrastructure, a part of M Group Services' Transport Division, whose Women’s Network has been shortlisted for the Construction News & New Civil Engineer Inspiring Women 2023 Women’s Network of the Year Award, less than a year after it was founded.

Established in September 2022, Milestone’s Women’s Network has already showcased a positive impact on women and men within the business. The Women’s Network has created opportunities for people across the company to connect, from their first major event on International Women’s Day 2023 to their women’s personal-development workshops, something in which attendees voiced the need for during their initial meetings.

The Network held the first of these workshops in April focusing on the theme, confidence. Feedback from members was incredibly positive with people finding the techniques learnt within the workshop being implemented successfully into their day-to-day work life. The Women’s Network has now run two and aims to run another two workshops within their ‘YOU – Your Own Unique’ series in 2023.

Speaking on the nomination, Walker Grevel and Hannah Kelly, who lead the Women’s Network, said: “We are very proud of what we have achieved with the Network so far. We want to continue supporting women and ensuring that Milestone is a great place for everyone to work.”

Now in its second year, the Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards, held on 4 October at Leonardo Royal London St Pauls Hotel, will recognise individuals and teams making outstanding contributions to gender diversity in their industry.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this shortlisting and best of luck for 4 October.
