Milestone Infrastructure, a part of M Group Services, was delighted to pay a visit to pupils at Beecroft Garden Primary School in Lewisham to help with their topic for this term, the environment.
Euan Russell, Environmental Advisor and Victoria Kelly, Strategic Improvement Manager thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking to pupils, aged between five and seven, and answering their questions.
They talked about sustainability and the importance of developing a love for the environment, explaining how passionate Milestone Infrastructure is about protecting the environment and helping to achieve net-zero.
The day was such a success that Euan, Victoria and other colleagues from Milestone Infrastructure will be returning after Easter as volunteers to help restore the school garden, giving the children new opportunities to get outdoors and involved with nature.
Euan said: “This was a fantastic opportunity. We had some great discussions with the children, who were so engaged. To see and hear how important sustainability is to them was really exciting and inspiring. I was delighted to meet and talk with these young people who will be the custodians of the environment in the future and think about what we can do today to make the world they will inherit better.”
We want to inspire young people to pursue careers in STEM. Our classroom visits are just one part of our commitment to developing our talent of the future.
We currently have 32 registered STEM Ambassadors across Milestone Infrastructure, and we take pride in our people helping the next generation to develop their knowledge and understanding about the fascinating world of infrastructure services.
