We’d like to celebrate our amazing apprentices on our Oxfordshire contract, who won three awards and were highly commended in a fourth category in the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards, organised by OxLEP.

It was a double win for Josh Jones, Highways Operative, who won both the Intermediate Apprentice of the Year Award and the highly competitive Apprentice of the Year Award, which recognises the apprentice who has reached the highest levels of excellence and achievement. Josh’s grit, determination, and ability to meet the challenges faced during his apprenticeship was praised by the judges.

Thomas Renault, Data and Performance Analyst, was Highly Commended in the Higher / Degree Apprentice of the Year Award. As the first person to undertake an apprenticeship in data and performance analysis with Milestone, Tom is in many ways a pioneer. Tom was recognised for his ability to achieve exceptional results, including rolling out a large Power BI, an interactive data visualization software product, project.

We’re also very thrilled to announce that Milestone Infrastructure won the Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award. The judges praised the supportive environment that we provide for apprentices as well as the way apprentices are integrated into our business and directly involved in the continuous improvement of the programme.

At Milestone, we recognise the importance of apprenticeships in addressing the national skill shortage in our sector. We take on apprentices at all levels and see the impressive impact that they make on our business.

We were also delighted to return as a sponsor for the Special Recognition Award at yesterday’s ceremony, which recognises apprentices at any level?who have overcome significant challenges or barriers to learning or work.

Congratulations to Josh, Tom and all winners and finalists.
